Rheology modifiers not only provide thickening but also provide shear thinning performance. Shear thinning rheology enables the consumer to use a product that is nice and viscous in a bottle, able to extrude through a small opening, and then retain its thickness in your hand. Ideally, a rheology modifier should have no negative impact on in-use properties such as foaming and feel. VERSATHIX is a versatile rheology modifier that is suitable for use in a variety of surfactant systems. It provides efficient viscosity building across a wide variety of surfactant systems, including sulfate-free systems, which are traditionally harder to thicken. VERSATHIX provides efficient thickening coupled with shear thinning rheology and has a neutral effect on foam and after feel. The material is supplied as a 70% active liquid product, with a pH range of 3.5-9, and recommended usage levels between 1% and 5% w/w.
