We are committed to being the most sustainable supplier of innovative ingredients and are continuously modernising our portfolio to reflect this commitment. A key step in this journey for hair care is the removal of phenoxyethanol from our best-selling biopolymer ingredients. Not only is phenoxyethanol petroleum derived but consumers are concerned that it produces toxic pollutants and can cause skin irritation and endocrine disruption.

Instead, by focusing on sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate as preservatives, we're ensuring our ingredients are more sustainably derived and better for those with sensitive skin but still provide the high level of performance demanded by the modern eco-conscious consumer.

We are also in the process of listing these products within the new Cosmetics Supervision and Administration Regulation (CSAR) for sale in China, a market that is projected to see significant growth in the coming years.
