Clays come from the decomposition of rocks by erosion. They are differentiated by the type of rock they come from, the climate or the topography of the soil. They are classified according to their chemical structure (illite, kaolinite, montmorillonite, etc.) and their colour.
Green clay is composed of a mixture of illite (the majority), kaolin and montmorillonite. Extracted at the foot of the Auvergne volcanoes and dried in the sun, Green Clay ER is extremely pure and is the richest in minerals (especially calcium and iron) and trace elements. It has a high absorption capacity and is therefore particularly suitable for mattifying and purifying oily skin and hair, by absorbing sebum and impurities from the epidermis.
