The apricot tree has been cultivated in China for at least 3,000 years. From there, Chinese caravans are said to have brought the tree to the shores of the Caspian Sea, notably to Armenia.
The apricot tree with white flowers, whose Arabic name means "the early", gives us the first fruits of the summer. The apricot is a fleshy and sweet fruit containing a single large seed, or kernel. In Asia Minor, peasants dried apricots on the roof of their houses. This fruit played an important role in their diet. Arab doctors prescribed apricot kernel oil to treat haemorrhoids, nose, and earaches. It is also traditionally used by the Himalayan peoples to nourish and protect their skin against extreme weather conditions. The apricot is associated with Venus, goddess of Love. It is a symbol of passion.
Scrubami Apricot 300/400 is a natural scrub that gently exfoliates to give back freshness, smoothness and radiance to the skin.
