The plant is common in whole Europe, North- and South America. Lemonmint has a fresh crispy lemon odor that unites with the cool fresh peppermint. It is also called eau-de-Cologne mint. This mint differs from others and has similar medicinal properties to the Lavender group of plants.
A tea made from the fresh or dried leaves has traditionally been used for digestive disorders, nerves,
fevers and headaches.
In cosmetics, the plant is used for refreshing concepts. Lemonmint contains sugars with moisturising properties and some antioxidant actives. It perfectly fit with refreshing and cleansing cosmetic as well as with oral care and mouth washes.
